Review: I have been very concerned about how this firm has dealt with conveyancing. I was assured at the outset by a partner that she would deal with my sale and her colleague with my daughter-in-law’s purchase. It turned out not to be the case and as well as half-heartedly representing me, the partner also represented my daughter-in-law, although she appeared to be a lot more supportive of her than of me. Another local solicitor who became involved when a form submission was suddenly needed made the comment that the form should have been completed at the start of the conveyancing, not at the very end in haste, and that the solicitor should have advised my daughter-in-law of this at the outset. The partner advised me that whether we produced a declaration of trust or an informal agreement between my daughter-in-law and myself, the situation for my Son could still be contested as my Son and daughter-in-law are married! (My concern was for the fact that my Son’s ‘inheritance’ has been invested in the renovation of the house and land and I had to gift the deposit to my daughter-in-law and sell at under market value, so that she could afford to buy the house.) I still feel unhappy about the whole business. I do believe it is not good practice for the same firm to represent both parties. so I cannot believe it is acceptable for the same solicitor to do so. The single star is only because the conveyance was completed within the requested timeframe.

Review: This firm cannot be trusted to carry out work efficiently and its best quality is a remarkable ability to contradict its own advice. They never return phone calls and have more-than-once given unreliable information. I would most certainly not recommend them and would give 0 stars if this was an option.
