Review: Absolutely shocking. I received a letter to say I owed £900 to a loan company who had enlisted QDR to collect payment. I did not dispute that I had had the loans but that as far as I am aware I had paid them off about two and a half years ago. I called QDR and explained this to which the arrogant and dismissive woman 'expert debt collector' tried to set up a payment plan over the phone and go through my personal bills in order to ascertain that I could afford to pay an agreed monthly amount. Upon my inability to know exactly what my outgoings are she told me they would email me a form to fill in to do this so I could look at my paperwork. I wasn't happy with this as I still believed I had paid off the debt so I did some homework and sent QDR a 'prove it letter' letter by recorded post. I received an email to confirm they had received this about two weeks later. A few days ago after about 4 weeks of waiting for a further response to say that the original loan company had not charged me enough two and a half years ago and that my outstanding balance is actually £112.66 and NOT the originally stated £900. This was not mentioned at all in the first letter or over the phone when I called and if I'd had the money to pay the £900 the arrogant 'expert debt collector' would have taken the £900 payment with no questions asked and obviously hoping I would never find out. How many people have they ripped off like this ???? I will pay the revised £112.66 as I owe this amount and will also be making a full complaint to the Financial Ombudsman in order to try and stop them doing this to anyone else. If you are ever unfortunate to have to deal with QDR them my advice is as follows : 1 : DO NOT admit to anything 2 :be prepared to be belittled 3 :send a prove it letter by recorded, signed for delivery at accost of about £2.00. There are many templates to be found on google which are legally binding if you follow the instructions 4 :DO NOT sign the prove it letter, just PRINT your name Please do not allow them to bully you, once they have received a prove it letter they are legally bound not to harass you in any way shape or form to try and garner a payment. They may only contact you in the preferred way you have stated in your prove it letter. In my opinion QDR Solicitors are charlatans and bullies preying on people in potentially already weak financial positions.
