Review: If you want your sale to complete in a reasonable time don't use Steve Davies Solicitors. Steve Davies have taken over two months just to complete the searches! They lied repeatedly about when the searches would complete, and also lied about why the searches were taking so long. They blamed the council. When I called the council they said they weren't even completing the searches. They initially tried to lie their way out of this before admitting they weren't using the council's service, and had employed a third party to do the searches. They changed my solicitor and didn't even bother to tell me! My seller has been ready to complete for weeks, and Steve Davies have held up the sale all that time, and are continuing to do so now. They've not contacted me at any time to update me, I've always had to contact them. They've treated me as as if they're doing me a favour, rather than completing work that they're getting paid very well to do. This is an email exchange between myself and Steve Davies: Me: "Dear Mr Davies I've received no contact from anybody even though the searches were supposed to be completed on August 25th. I've tried to call Connor and yourself but there was no answer." Steve Davies: "This was Friday before a bank holiday weekend. This will be attended to Best Regards,"
